WINDERMERE, Fla. - Washington Husky men's golf All-American Nick Taylor capped another impressive tournament by shooting a final round 2-under-par 70 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for seventh at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational.
Taylor started his day in 27th place but was one of six competitors to shoot under par at Isleworth Country Club outside of Orlando. For the fall season, Taylor recorded top-10 finishes in all four events in which the Huskies competed.
The Huskies teed off from the 10th tee and Taylor was able to stay even until he bogeyed No. 17. On the second nine, Taylor was able to make up ground by birdieing holes No. 2, 3 and 6.
Taylor was 4-over 220 overall. Only two golfers out of the field of 75 finished under par. Winner Bud Cauley of Alabama shot a 5-under 211 and Stanford's Sihwan Kim was 4-under par.
Oklahoma State was crowned team champion at +17 (881) overall. Washington tied for 13th at +49 (913).
The Huskies are finished for the fall season and will tee it up again in February at the Mauna Lani Resort in Kamuela, Hawai'i.
