Gray-Lawson, a first-team All-Pac-10 selection at the end of 2008-09, was a unanimous selection by all 21 members of the media voting on the five-player preseason team. Gray-Lawson earned first team All-Pac-10 honors last season, averaging 12.2 points per game and being among the nation's leaders in assist-to-turnover ratio. She was also a 2008-09 honorable mention for Associated Press All-America honors.
Stanford's Jayne Appel was the only other unanimous selection. Also earning Preseason All-Pac-10 honors were UCLA's Doreena Campbell, Arizona's Ify Ibekwe, and Stanford's Jeanette Pohlen.
In the media poll, Cal was selected by the same panel of media voters to finish third in the Conference behind the unanimous pick for first place, Stanford, and Arizona State. Cal was in second place in the Pac-10 Coaches' Poll released last week.
