Women's Soccer Hosts No. 21 Washington State Friday

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The No. 25 Oregon State women's soccer team returns to action this weekend as the Beavers play their final home matches of the season, beginning with No. 19 Washington State on Friday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m.
The Beavers enter the weekend with a mark of 10-5-1 on the season, 2-3-0 in Pac-10 play, after splitting a pair of games in Los Angeles last week. Oregon State knocked off No. 9 USC, 2-1, before falling to No. 4 UCLA, 3-0, on Sunday.
Senior midfielder Red Nixon led the way for the Beavers in the win over the Women of Troy, registering an assist and the game-winning goal as Oregon State beat USC for the first time since 1994.
Chelsea Buckland and Ashley Seal continue to lead the Oregon State attack with five goals apiece as 13 players have tallied at least one point this year. Melinda Ingalls, Red Nixon and Courtney Wetzel each lead the team with three assists.
The Oregon State defense continues to be strong as the Beavers are allowing only 0.99 goals per game. Ashley Wood and Colleen Boyd continue to split time in net as Wood enters the contest with a 0.71 goals against average.
Washington State enters the week with a mark of 11-4-2 on the year after splitting games against Cal and Stanford last week. The Cougars fell to No. 1 Stanford, 2-1, in overtime before picking up a 2-1, overtime win over No. 23 Cal to close out the week.
Kiersten Dallstream leads the Washington State attack with 13 goals and 31 points as Meghan Berlingo posts a 0.87 goals against average to lead the defense.
Following the match against Washington State, Oregon State will close out the home portion of its schedule when it faces Washington on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 11:30 a.m. The match will mark the final home game for eight Oregon State seniors, who will be honored prior to the start of the contest against the Huskies.
