Live Video of Basketball Exhibition Games Available on BNO
Oct. 30, 2009
CORVALLIS, Ore. - Beaver Nation Online, the audio and video source for Oregon State Athletics, will be the place to follow the 2009-10 Oregon State men's and women's basketball teams. Oregon State announced Friday that a majority of the women's basketball home games will be streamed live on BNO, while a few selected non-televised games for the men will also be carried live on BNO.
The BNO stream will begin with the upcoming exhibition games for both teams. Exhibition games will be carried live on osubeavers.com free of charge. The men play their exhibition games Nov. 1 and Nov. 7, while the women hit the floor in the preseason on Nov. 2 and Nov. 8.
Note that the only way to catch the exhibition games outside of Corvallis will be on BNO as the preseason does not have radio coverage.
A majority of the women's games will be streamed live on Beaver Nation Online this season. The only games not carried include Jan. 9 against Oregon (the game will air live on FSN) and Feb. 25 and Feb. 27 against UCLA and USC. Note that these games will have audio available online.
The Oregon State men are slated to have their Nov. 21 game against Sacramento State and Dec. 19 contest against Mississippi State Valley State streamed on Beaver Nation Online. Mike Parker, the voice of the Beavers, can also be heard on the audio component of Beaver Nation Online.
Beaver Nation Online is the 'one-stop' option for both audio and video, hosted by CBS College Sports. Your subscription to BNO provides you access to game-day action (audio only in some cases), but also Beaver Sports Talk every Thursday at 7 p.m. (Tuesdays starting Dec. 1), the Tuesday Mike Riley press conferences (9:45 a.m.), followed this winter with press conferences from Craig Robinson (time TBA) and postgame news conferences throughout the year.
Your subscription to all the action is $9.95 per month or $79.95 per year.
The Oregon State men's basketball team returns four starters from a team that completed one of the greatest single season turnarounds in the country last year as the Beavers captured the CBI postseason title and finished the year with an 18-18 record.
Meanwhile, the Oregon State women's squad is coming off a 20-12 season, the team's first year with 20 or more victories in more than a decade. The Beavers also made their second WNIT appearance under head coach LaVonda Wagner, who will be in her fifth year with the program in 2009-10.
