Justin Kahut Grabs Conference and National Honors

Oregon State University junior placekicker Justin Kahut has been named Pac-10 Conference Special Teams Player of the Week and one of three Lou Groza National Collegiate Placekicker Award “Stars of the Week.” The honors are the first for Kahut in his career.
The Portland, Ore., native made four of five field goal attempts in the Beavers’ 26-19 victory over UCLA last Saturday at Reser Stadium. He also added two extra points. For his career he has made 32 field goals, tied for the fifth-most in OSU history.
Kahut is the successor of OSU record holder and 2005 Groza Award recipient Alexis Serna.
The Lou Groza Award will be presented as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show in Orlando on Thurs., Dec. 10. The three finalists will be feted at the 18th Annual Lou Groza Awards Banquet on Tuesday December 8th at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
