Beavers Pick Up Two Spots in Second Round at Turtle Bay

KAHUKU, Hawai'i - After two rounds at the Turtle Bay College Invitational, the Oregon State women's golf team is in 16th place. The Beavers have shot a two-round total of (314-313) 627 on the par 72 - 6,261 yard George Fazio Course at the Turtle Bay Resort.
The Turtle Bay College Invitational is a 54-hole, three-day tournament running from Mon., Nov. 2 through Wed., Nov. 4.
The Beavers were led Tuesday by sophomore Whitney French, who fired a 3-over par 75 and now sits at 9-over (78-75) 153.
Senior Brittany Stewart, who struggled through a rough opening round, rebounded to shoot even par on the final nine holes today heading into final round action Wednesday.
UC Davis' Demi Runas took control of the tournament lead Tuesday with a two-day total of (68-69) 137 leaving her just a single stroke ahead of UCLA's Stephanie Kono and USC's Lizette Salas. As a team, UC Davis remains in the lead at 5-under (281-290) 571.
The Beavers resume play Wednesday at 8 a.m. Hawaiian time for the final round of play. Wednesday's final round will be played on the 6,361-yard, par-72 Arnold Palmer Course at Turtle Bay. Fans can follow the action via live scoring at hawaiiathletics.com.
