McInerney Honored by YWCA

Arizona State University women's tennis coach Sheila McInerney has been named one of the 2010 YWCA Tribute to Women honorees. The 26th year head coach has been selected as the Sports Leader honoree. As the Sun Devils head coach, McInerney boasts a 373-238 record and has taken the Sun Devils to 18 NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearances. Her Sun Devils have also shined in the classroom as many of her teams have been named an ITA All-Scholar Team.
McInerney, along with the 10 other nominees will be recognized at the 2010 YWCA Tribute to Women luncheon Thursday, February 25th, 2010, at The Arizona Biltmore in the Frank Lloyd Wright Ballroom from 11:30am-1:30pm. The event is open to the public.
The 2010 YWCA Tribute to Women is presented in partnership with the Arizona Republic and 12 News Today. Other sponsors include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Salt River Project, Mutual of Omaha Bank, Greenberg Traurig, Midwestern University and Arizona Biltmore Hotel and Spa.
