AROUND THE LEAGUE
ARIZONA (4-13-1, 1-6-0)
The Wildcats dropped a 4-0 decison to No. 1 Stanford over the weekend...RS SR GK Devon Wharf and SO GK Ashley Jett split time in the goal, tallying four and seven saves, respectively...In a 2-0 loss to California on Friday, the squad was led by SO F Renae Cuellar who had two shots and Wharf, who had six total saves, five in the second half.
ARIZONA STATE (7-7-1, 0-6-1)
The Sun Devils dropped a hard fought match against California in overtime, 3-2...RS FR F Courtney Tinnin netted a goal, to put the Sun Devils up, 1-0, and marking the third-consecutive game that she has scored a goal...Tinnin is second on the team with 13 points...JR MF Alexandra Elston tied the game at 2-2 in the 54th minute, scoring her team-leading fifth goal on the season...The squad dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 1 Stanford, with FR GK Alyssa Gillmore making 12 saves.
CALIFORNIA (10-7-1, 4-4-0)
The Bears won both their games at home this weekend, 2-0 over Arizona and 3-2 against Arizona State in overtime...Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week RS JR Lisa Kevorkian netted a goal in each of the Bears' victories...She has now scored a goal in each of Cal's previous three games and has tallied four game-winning goals...She is second on the team with seven goals and three assists...FR D Amanda Groves scored the first goal of her career in the 2-0 win over Arizona.
OREGON (8-9-1, 0-7-0)
Oregon fell at home to Washington, 3-1 and Washington State, 2-0 over the weekend...SR GK Jessie Proulx ranks at the top of Oregon's career list in wins (25), shutouts (16) and goals against average (1.48)...JR F Jen Stoltenberg continues to lead the Ducks with eight goals and four assists for 20 points.
OREGON STATE (11-6-1, 3-4-0)
On Senior Day, the Beavers defeated Washington, 2-1...SR MF Melissa Peck connected on her fifth goal of the season...FR F Chelsea Buckland netted her team-leading sixth goal to put the Beavers over the top, 2-1...SR GK Ashley Wood picked up the win, her 18th overall...The Beavers dropped a 1-0 decision to Washington State with SO GK Collen Boyd making three saves.
STANFORD (19-0-0, 8-0-0)
As the consensus No. 1 team in the country, Stanford continues its fairy tale season, picking up two wins over the Arizona schools...SR F Kelley O'Hara netted her 20th goal of the season in a 4-0 win over Arizona to tie the Cardinal single-season record...JR F Christen Press assisted on O'Hara's record-setting t
ally and leads the team with 13 helpers...Press also added a goal of her own in the victory over the Wildcats...With the win over Arizona and a 3-1 win over Arizona State, Stanford has clinched at least a share of the Pac-10 title.
UCLA (15-2-1, 6-1-0)
The Bruins beat crosstown rival USC, 2-1, at home on Senior Night...SR F Lauren Cheney tallied both goals in the game, including the game-winner, to bring her season goal total to 11...Cheney is tied atop the Bruin career game-winning goal list with 26...UCLA has now beaten USC in three-straight matches and has won 11 of the last 12 meetings...RS SO GK Chante' Sandiford made three saves in the match.
USC (12-6-0, 4-3-0)
USC dropped a hard-fought match against rival UCLA, 2-1...After being down 1-0, the Trojans fought back with a goal from FR MF Courtney Garcia, who came in off the bench for her fourth goal of the year...FR F Samantha Johnson and SO MF/F Ashley Freyer both tallied an assist on the goal...Johnson is tied for the team lead with four assists...SR GK Kristin Olsen made eight saves in the match.
WASHINGTON (11-4-3, 3-2-2)
The Huskies split on the road over the weekend, earning a 3-1 win over Oregon, but dropping a 2-1 decision at Oregon State...JR F McKenna Waitley continues to have a break-out season, adding a goal in each of the Huskies' games, giving her a team-leading six goals on the season, three of which were game-winners...Waitley had four goals in her first two seasons combined...Head coach Lesle Gallimore earned her 200th career win with the victory over Oregon...The 15th year head coach became the 37th Divison I coach to reach the milestone.
WASHINGTON STATE (13-4-1, 5-1-1)
The Cougars earned two road wins over the weekend, bringing their school-record road wins in a season to eight...The weekend was the first road sweep of the Oregon schools for the Cougars since 2000...SR F Kiersten Dallstream has earned at least one point in 16 of WSU's 18 games and her 33 total points on the year rank her third on the Cougars' single-season list...In the Cougars's 1-0 win over Oregon State, FR MF Brandi Vega scored her fourth game-winning goal of the season, tying her for fourth on the WSU single-season list.
