Huskies Open Home Slate With PNW Intercollegiate

SEATTLE - Washington men's tennis welcomes fans back to the Nordstrom Tennis Center for the first time since the spring this weekend as the team hosts the PNW Intercollegiates, featuring many of the top D-I teams from all around the Pacific Northwest.
Play begins this Friday and continues through Sunday with two flights of singles and one doubles draw. Friday and Saturday's action both kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday's matches will begin at 9 a.m.
Aside from a full complement of Huskies, the tournament will feature teams from Oregon, Boise State, Portland, Portland State, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, and Idaho.
Junior Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan is the top seed and has a first round by in the top singles flight which features 27 players. Senior Derek Drabble also has a pass into the round of 16. Juniors Tobi Obenaus and Alex Rosinski are also entered in the top draw. Huskies in the second draw include juniors Brad Bator and Skyler Tateishi, sophomore Matt Stith, and freshman Nick Tchernikov. Bator and Nedunchezhiyan, Stith and Tateishi, and Obenaus and Rosinski will represent the Huskies in doubles.
