Men's Soccer Faces Off Against UCLA and San Diego State

Corvallis, Ore. - The Oregon State men's soccer team hits the road again this weekend when they travel to Southern California to take on No. 5 UCLA and No. 25 San Diego State.
The Beavers are coming off of a home weekend split with a 3-2 loss to Stanford and a 1-0 win over California. Sophomore Colin Mitchell scored the lone goal in the win over California and had an assist against Stanford.
Sophomore forward Danny Mwanga scored his 10th goal of the season against Stanford becoming the first double-digit goal scorer for the beavers since 2001 when current LA Galaxy member Alan Gordon scored 11.
Oregon State (7-6-2 overall, 3-4 Pac-10 Conference) takes on UCLA Friday, Nov. 6 starting at 7 p.m. in the final meeting of the season between the two teams.
UCLA (9-3-2, 4-1-2) won the first match of the season in Corvallis, Ore. on Oct. 2, 3-1. The match Friday matches up two of the top goal scorers in the conference in UCLA's Kyle Nakazawa and Oregon State's Mwanga. Mwanga is second in goals scored (10) while Nakazawa is third (9).
The Beavers faces off with San Diego State Sunday Nov. 8 at 12 p.m. The Beavers won the first meeting of the season between the two clubs in a dramatic 2-1 overtime victory. After following behind 1-0, Mwanga scored a goal in the second half to force overtime and with only 1:43 gone in overtime scored the game winner for his second goal of the day.
San Diego State's Reza Raymundo is tied for fourth in the conference with six goals this season while goalie Brad Byrns is second in saves with 61 on the season.
The Beavers take on the Washington Huskies Saturday Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. in the final regular season game of the year.
