Nov. 16, 2009

UCLA soccer will be well-represented at Sunday's MLS Cup Final with four alumni - Eddie Lewis and Leonard Griffin of the Los Angeles Galaxy and Nick Rimando and Tony Beltran of Real Salt Lake - playing for the MLS title.

Lewis and Griffin's Galaxy won the Western Conference Championship on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Houston.

Rimando and Beltran's Real Salt Lake advanced after a 5-4 shootout victory over Chicago. Rimando saved three of the Fire's last four penalty shots to overcome an early 3-1 deficit in the shootout. To watch highlights from the shootout, click here.

Los Angeles and Salt Lake will play for the MLS Cup on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 5:30 pm in Seattle. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
