Duran, Langenfeld and Watley Invited to USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Camp

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Former Bruins Andrea Duran and Natasha Watley, as well as 2010 UCLA senior Megan Langenfeld, are among the 31 athletes who have accepted an invitation to the 2010 USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Camp in Chula Vista, Calif. (Jan. 4-8).
The 17-member team plus alternates selected from this camp will represent USA Softball during the 2010 season. The schedule of events for the 2010 season will be announced at a later date.
Duran, a Silver Medalist with Team USA at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, was a part of three Gold-Medal winning teams for the United States during the 2009 campaign, finishing first at the Canada Cup, the KFC World Cup of Softball and the Pan American Games Qualifier.
Watley, a Gold (2004 Athens Olympics) and Silver Medalist for the U.S., helped the Red, White and Blue to first-place finishes at the Canada Cup, the KFC World Cup of Softball and the Japan Cup.
Langenfeld, who enters her senior season at UCLA in 2010, was named Best Hitter at the Pan American Games last summer. She hit .658 and was first on the team with 24 runs batted in, 49 total bases, four triples and a 1.289 slugging percentage.
