SEATTLE - Washington women's soccer players Veronica Perez and Kate Deines were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Pacific Region teams this week, with Perez earning Second Team honors and Deines being named to the Third Team.

The senior Perez was named to the Second Team for the second-straight year after also earning All Pac-10 Second Team honors. Deines, a sophomore, earned her first NSCAA All-Region nod after also being named Second Team All-Pac-10 this year.

Perez, from San Mateo, Calif., capped off an outstanding career by tying for the team lead with six goals while finishing second on the squad with three assists and 13 points. She leaves Washington ranked in the all-time top-10 in several categories, including third in shots (194) and games played (83), fourth in game-winning goals (8), tied for sixth in goals (21) and eighth in points (53).

Deines, from Issaquah, Wash., started all 22 games for the Huskies and tied for fourth on the team with nine points on three goals and three assists. A workhorse in the midfield for UW, she scored the lone goal in the Huskies' 1-0 victory over Ole Miss in the NCAA First Round.

The NSCAA All-Pacific Region First Team includes five players who were recently on the list of 15 Hermann Trophy semifinalists.
