Bruin Bloodline: Second Men's Track & Field Social A Success
Dec. 10, 2009
Last night the Bruin track and field family got together in Westwood at the W for another social. The turnout was even bigger then the first reception, held last month at the Wilshire in Santa Monica. The group congratulated former Head UCLA track and cross country coach Bob Larsen, who had recently received USA Track & Field's Robert Giegengack Award at the Jesse Owens National Track & Field Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Indianapolis. Also joining the reception once again were former coach Jim Bush, along with Wayne Collett (shown in a photo). Brian Theriot, Gordan Peppars and a slew of Bruin greats from the 90's and 2000's made sure each of the eras of UCLA track and field were represented.
The event offered door prizes of Bruin gear (t-shirts, hats, bags), media guides, and an opportunity to connect with coaches and reconnect with Bruin teammates. We hope that if you have not yet attended the reception you will join us next month on Wednesday, Jan. 13th for the next social. Look for details to be emailed and posted on the Bloodline Blog. If you are an Alumni, and have not been receiving emails from us, please email your contact info to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks again, one and all for taking part in this Bruin Alumni activity! The coaches and athletes wish you and your famlies a safe and happy holiday season.
