Bruin Alum Henry Hagenbuch Turns Pro In Triathlon
Dec. 22, 2009
After just one year competing in the triathlon, Bruin alum Henry Hagenbuch has earned his pro card for the USAT.
Known for his ability in the run portion of triathlons, Hagenbuch posted the fastest run split in virtually every triathlon in which he competed during the last year. If his results weren't enough, his first season ended on a high note when he received the coveted Speedster Award from the LA Tri Club, the largest triathlon club in the United States. He is quickly making a name for himself as he has been picked up by various big name sponsors such as K-Swiss and Oakley.
Hagenbuch recently launched an interactive website, www.gohhgo.com, which will provide up-to-date information as he continues his triathlon career. His 2010 season kicks off in the Continental Cup series events that take place in January in Vina del Mar, Chile and La Paz, Argentina.
Hagenbuch was a 2008 Outdoor All-American in the steeplechase and ended his career ranked fifth all-time in school history in the event (8:45.91).
