UA Hits the Field, Hits SeaWorld
Dec. 26, 2009
SAN DIEGO--The University of Arizona football team got down to business the day after Christmas -- the business of practice and the business of tourism.
The Cats worked out for several hours on the University of San Diego campus at mid day, then spent a couple of hours later at renowned SeaWorld.
The club had a spirited workout in shorts and shells, approved afterward by head coach Mike Stoops as focused on the task at hand, facing No. 20 Nebraska in the Dec. 30 Pacific Life Holiday Bowl at Qualcomm Stadium.
UA will hold several more days of drills, along with continued enjoyment of some of San Diego's finest attractions. The team gets a trip to the San Diego Zoo tomorrow and will switch it up with a brief tour of some of the nation's defenses Monday in a Navy & Marine Corps Luncheon in the city's naval shipyard.
Practices those days plus a walk-through Tuesday conclude the physical preparations for the bowl game.
