Softball Winter Camps Open For Registration
Dec. 29, 2009
The national champion Washington softball team has announced a series of winter camps and clinics conducted by the 2009 NFCA National Coaching Staff of the Year along with members of the 2010 team.
Several camps and clinics for players of all ages and skill level will take place throughout January, along with a coaches clinic toward the end of the month. All camps and clinics will be held in the Dempsey Indoor Facility Adjacent to Husky Softball Stadium.
The busy month kicks off with the UW Winter Clinic Series on January 14 for players between the ages of 8-18. This clinic features pitching and hitting clinics from 7-8 p.m. followed by an infield defensive skills clinic and a second hitting clinic from 8-9 p.m., with each session costing $45.
On January 23, the Huskies will host three separate clinics, including a pitching clinic from 9-10 a.m., an all-skills clinic from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and a coaches clinic from 2-6 p.m.
Both the pitching clinic and all-skills clinic are open to players between the ages of 8-18. The pitching clinic is $45 while the all-skills clinic is $80. The coaches clinic, which gives coaches at all levels a chance to learn new tools and hone their skills with experienced instruction from the entire staff that led the Huskies to the national championship, is $125.00.
