Sun Devil Football Mourns The Passing of Former Student-Athlete Dick Allen

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State Sun Devil football mourns the passing of former student-athlete Dick Allen, who passed away on December 29 at the age of 82.

Allen played football at Arizona State in 1947 and 1948. He is survived by his three daughters, Jacque, Wendi, and Robin (Duane), eight grandsons, and four great grandchildren. Dick received the James W. Creasman Award of Excellence for all of his Service to ASU. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the L.D.S Del Rio Chapel, 1881 East Del Rio Drive, Tempe. Visitation will be one hour before the service at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley or The Perpetual Education Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
