Olympic Champion Nastia Liukin To Make Special Appearance At UCLA Gymnastics Meet

Reigning Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin will be in attendance at UCLA Gymnastics' season opener against Utah on Saturday, Jan. 9, promoting her partnership with the UCLA Gymnastics Camp. Liukin will be part of the post-meet autograph session with the UCLA team. The UCLA-Utah meet begins at 4 pm in Pauley Pavilion.
Liukin is partnering with UCLA Gymnastics for the 2010 UCLA Gymnastics/Nastia Liukin Summer Camp, which will take place on July 15-18. Registration starts on Feb. 1. For more information, visit the UCLA camp website at uclacamps.com or nastialiukin.com.
Liukin won five medals at the 2008 Olympic Games, including gold in the all-around and silver on uneven bars, balance beam and the team competition. She has also captured an American-record-tying nine World Championship medals, including four gold.
Tickets to the UCLA-Utah meet are $12 for adults and $10 for youth (16 and under) in the lower level and $8 for adults and $6 for youth in the mid-level. UCLA students are free with Bruin ID.
