Arizona State Stumps Oregon, 76-57

Jan. 14, 2010

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Rihards Kuksiks scored 25 points, and Arizona State buried Oregon with eight 3-pointers in the first half to win 76-57 on Thursday night.

Ty Abbott scored 16 points - all in the first half - and Derek Glasser added 12 for the Sun Devils (13-5, 3-2 Pac-10). Kuksiks and Abbott had four 3-pointers each, and Arizona State made 10 of 20 shots from beyond the arc.

LeKendric Longmire scored 11 points to lead the Ducks (10-6, 2-2), who became the latest victim of a smothering Sun Devils defense that came into the game with a nation-leading 54.4 points-allowed average.

Though Oregon surpassed that total, it shot just 37 percent (22 of 59) from the floor and 29 percent (4 of 14) from 3-point range. The Ducks finished 20 points under their season average.
