Prugh Leads Bob Hope Classic

LA QUINTA, Calif. - Former Husky golfer Alex Prugh continued his sensational run in just his second event since earning his PGA card and leads the Bob Hope Classic after three rounds.

Prugh shot a 7-under par 65 on Saturday and holds a one stroke lead over Bubba Watson and Martin Flores at SilverRock Resort. Overall for the tournament, Prugh is at 21-under par (195).

Prugh shot a 4-under 32 on the front nine, including a chip-in birdie off the No. 9 green. He followed that up with a 3-under 33 on the back nine. Prugh has went bogey-free over his last two rounds.

The PGA Tour rookie from Spokane, Wash. (Ferris HS) will have to hold on over the final two rounds of play as 38 golfers are within 10 strokes of the lead.
