Jan. 28, 2010
CORVALLIS - Mike Riley and the Oregon State football program made it three-for-three when the third annual release of College Football Live's! Family Atmosphere Awards were announced Wednesday. For the third consecutive year, Oregon State has been chosen as the most family friendly program in the nation.
'The Awards recognize programs that encourage team unity, support academics, exhibit loyalty, and prepare athletes for a life after football,' according to the website author Christian Birch.
While negative headlines captured the media attention, there were 15 programs and coaches that were recognized by the independent website CollegeFootballLive for developing their athletes for football and beyond.
OSU is the only member of the Pac-10 Conference recognized by the study.
Next Wednesday is one of the most exciting days of the offseason for college football fans - National Letter of Intent Signing Day.
