Men's Hoops Quick Notes After First Half of Pac-10 Play

--ASU has a winning record at the halfway mark of the Pac-10 season for just the third time in the past 15 seasons (1995-96 to present) and for the second straight season.
--After holding Stanford to 24-of-68 (.353) from the field on Saturday, the Sun Devils have held 14 of 22 teams to under 40 percent field goal shooting.
--Junior Ty Abbott is averaging 18.6 points and 7.0 boards in the past seven games and is 28-of-57 (.438) from the three-point stripe in that time. He had a season-high 29 points vs. Stanford on Saturday, his third 20-point game of the season. He made a career-high 11 field goals (on just 14 attempts for .786) and added a career-high 12 rebounds, all on the defensive end.
--Junior Rihards Kuksiks is averaging 15.7 points and is 21-of-46 (.457) from the three-point stripe in the past seven games.
--ASU is now 25-20 (.556) in the Pac-10 in the past three seasons, tied for the second-best record in that time with Washington. UCLA is 34-11 (.756) in that time.
--ASU is 39-11 (.780) at home in the past three seasons, including a 15-5 mark in 2007-08 that set the ASU mark for total home wins. ASU is 24-6 (.800) the past two seasons at home, 12-3 (.800) this season.
--Also hitting the boards, Ty Abbott grabbed 12 defensive rebounds vs. Stanford on Jan. 30, the most defensive boards by a Sun Devil since Jeff Pendergraph had 12 at No. 13 Oregon on Feb. 18, 2007, a span of the past 99 games.
-When Ty Abbott scores in double digits, ASU is 33-9 (.786) and 21-5 (.808) the past two seasons.
--Senior Eric Boateng is 28-of-44 (.636) from the field in Pac-10 play. Last season he was 14-of-20 (.700) from the field in his 16 Pac-10 games.
--Freshman Trent Lockett is averaging 8.7 points and 3.7 boards in Pac-10 games. In the past six games he has taken 39 free throws (making 27 for .692). He has eight double-figure scoring games on the year with a high of 19 vs. San Francisco on Nov. 20. Saturday against Stanford he posted his top Pac-10 scoring game with 17 points and had a season-high eight assists, including seven in the first half. He entered the game with 15 assists on the year.

--Senior Derek Glasser not only set ASU's career assist mark, he also is setting the pace for the free throw record. Glasser is at 84.4 percent (259-of-307), a shade better than Alex Austin's .815 from 1986-90. He has a chance to become the first Sun Devil with 1,000 points (918) and 500 assists (509).
