Former Cal Player Tony Gonzalez Named to NFL's All-Decade Team

BERKELEY - Former Cal football player Tony Gonzalez was announced Sunday as one of 53 members of the NFL's All-Decade team. Gonzales played three seasons at Cal from 1994-96, before moving on to the National Football League in 1997. Gonzales, who is one of only two tight ends selected to the team along with Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers, spent his first 12 seasons as a pro with the Kansas City Chiefs and is currently a member of the Atlanta Falcons.
Gonzalez has career NFL totals of 999 receptions for 11,807 yards and 82 touchdowns in 13 NFL seasons. He totaled 89 receptions for 1,302 yards and eight TDs at Cal.
