'It's a great tournament for us to start the spring season on,' head coach Brian Watts said. 'We've got some great competition that will really get us going. It's nice for us to have a few days of practice to get used to the grass differences and the wind.'
The course will be the Mauna Lani Resort North Course, which in true Hawaiian fashion, is built on a lava bed. The course is incredibly scenic, with the second and ninth hole playing right up to the white sand beaches. However scenic the course may be, it is known for its unpredictable and powerful wind gusts.
The field includes some of the best golf programs in the country and some of the toughest competition the Beavers will face all year.
