Hey GymDawg Fans!
Thanks so much to everyone who came out to support us against Utah this past week! It was great to have such a big crowd while we tried to redeem ourselves from the rough competition we had last weekend at Oregon State. Although I unfortunately could not compete this weekend because of my bruised heel, I think the team did a great job of forgetting about that last meet and just focusing on the present and keeping positive attitudes throughout the whole competition. We still have a lot to work on but it is nothing that we can't do.
As far as school goes, I had a math midterm last week and I have a physics midterm this week, and I know most of the girls on the team have been having their midterms last week and this week. So we are all just trying to put as much effort into our schoolwork as we can while also staying focused in the gym. This week in practice we will keep trying to focus on all the little things that we can each do individually that will all add up and help the team.
Even though I did not compete this weekend, my parents still made the trip out from Pennsylvania to see me. They had a very short trip and were only here for about 48 hours but it was really nice just seeing them and spending some time hanging out with them.
So this week we will be getting ready to leave for Stanford to compete in our second away meet of the season on Sunday. I am really excited because it is only the second time I have ever been in California, and I hope to see some sunshine and warmer weather! Hopefully I will get to practice more this week and get back into competition this weekend to help the team show everyone what we are made of!
