Bruins Co-Host The Battle at the Beach, Feb. 14-16

UCLA will co-host the inaugural Travis Matthew Battle at the Beach, Feb. 14-16 at Pelican Hill Resort Ocean North Course. The Ocean North Course will play to a par of 72 over 6,945 yards.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins Sunday and Monday at 7:05 a.m. with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start for Tuesday's final round. The format will be best five scores out of six.
Fourteen teams from eight conferences will battle for team and individual honors. Sixth-ranked Washington, No. 13 Tennessee, 14th-ranked UCLA and No. 15 Arizona State are four of the teams ranked among the Top 20.
'It is important for UCLA to a part of such an outstanding event like the Battle at the Beach,' said UCLA Head Coach Derek Freeman. 'This tournament has the potential to be one of college's top events and we feel privileged to be co-hosting.'
Long Beach State will serve as the on-site host of the event.
