No. 5 Cal Closes Regular Season with 167-131 Loss at No. 4 Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. - Fifth-ranked California lost to rival and fourth-ranked Stanford, 167-131, at Avery Aquatics Center on Saturday to close out the 2009-10 dual-meet season. The Golden Bears won five of the 16 events, including both relays. Their record fell to 5-2 (3-2 in the Pac-10), while the Cardinal's record improved to 9-0 (5-0, Pac-10).

The Bears return to action in the conference championships. The Cal swimmers compete in the Pac-10 Women's Swimming Championships from Feb. 24-27 in Long Beach, Calif., while the Cal divers compete in the Pac-10 Men's and Women's Diving Championships from Feb. 25-27 in Federal Way, Wash.
