Women's tennis rained out

TUCSON--The No. 59 Arizona women's tennis match against No. 60 San Diego State was rained out Saturday after the conclusion of doubles play. The match may be rescheduled at a later date.
Arizona won the doubles point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. In the No. 3 spot, seniors Ariane Masschelein and Natalia Toporowska were first to finish and fell to Emma Cioffi and Alicia Aguilar 8-2.
At No. 1 sophomore Natasha Marks and freshman Alexandrina Naydenova took an early 1-0 advantage over SDSU's Roxanne and Sierra Ellison, who then jumped out to a 3-2 lead. Marks and Naydenova manage to come back 7-6, but the Aztecs tied it up once more. Arizona won the next set and never looked back, winning 9-7, and clinching the doubles point for the Cats.
Up next, Arizona will host Saint Mary's on Sunday at noon at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
