UCLA Earns Ranking in ESPN/USA Today Coaches's Poll

March 2, 2010

The UCLA women's basketball team earned the No. 25 ranking in Tuesday's ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. The Bruins, who have won 10 of their last 11 games and are now 20-7, 13-3 on the year, moved into the poll for the first time under second-year head coach Nikki Caldwell.

UCLA, which clinched second-place in the Pac-10 conference standings with last week's win at Oregon, is back in the rankings for the first time since it was listed No. 19 in the Nov. 20, 2006 poll. The team returns to action against Arizona State (17-10, 9-7) on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion. On Saturday, the Bruins will host Arizona at 12:30 in Pauley in the last home contest for seniors Allison Taka, Moniquee Alexander and Erica Tukiainen.
