Anthony Robles Named ASU Male Athlete of the Week

Wrestler Anthony Robles has been named ASU's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 6th. He continued his dominance in the Pac-10 by winning his second-consecutive championship at 125 pounds. Robles is getting hot at the right time, having one 14 matches in a row and improving his record to 28-2 overall. This is now his fourth Athlete of the Week award on the season.
Robles captured his second-consecutive Pac-10 Championship at 125 pounds as he won all three matches on the weekend, including a 9-3 decision over #16 Jason Lara of Oregon State in the final. Ranked #3 in the nation currently, Robles has won 14 matches in a row this season and stands 28-2 overall. He will compete at the NCAA Wrestling Championships (March 18-20) in Omaha, Neb., where he will try to become a two-time All-American after finishing fourth one year ago in the national event.
