March 4, 2010

SURPRISE, Ariz. - On Wednesday night at Surprise Stadium, the Sun Devil baseball team held a free clinic for 130 kids on the field at Surprise Stadium. It is the second year in a row that ASU has held a kid's clinic in Surprise.

The kids were rotated through seven stations, with each station teaching a different baseball skill. Members of the 2010 team were the instructors. The kids were taught baserunning, pitching, throwing, hitting, ground ball fielding and fly ball fielding.

The Sun Devils are in Surprise for the 8th Annual Coca-Cola Classic, which gets underway on Thursday when ASU takes on Cal Poly following the Rangers/Royals Spring Training game.
