Bruins Move Into Associated Press Top 25

March 8, 2010

On Monday, Nikki Caldwell's UCLA women's basketball team moved into the Associated Press poll for the first time since the 2006-07 season. The Bruins, who have won 12 of their last 13 games, are ranked No. 23 in the March 8 poll. This is UCLA's first AP ranking since the Bruins were listed in the first three polls of the 2006-07 season.

UCLA, now 22-7 overall, continues its season on Friday night in the Pac-10 Tournament being played at the Galen Center. The Bruins, the second-seeded team in the event, will open play at 7:15 p.m. on Friday in a game against the winner of the Washington - Oregon State contest.
