USC sophomore Victoria Ishimatsu, the 2010 Women's Diver of the Meet at the Pac-10 Diving Championships, was named Pac-10 Women's Diver of the Month for February, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Monday (March 8).
Ishimatsu won the Pac-10's 1-meter springboard title less than two weeks ago with a score of 332.80 and the 3-meter springboard with a 381.15. On the 3-meter, the Seal Beach, Calif., native earned a perfect 10 from one judge. To finish out her stellar weekend, Ishimatsu finished fifth on the platform with a score of 258.20.
This is Ishimatsu's third Pac-10 Women's Diver of the Month accolade and second this season. For USC this is its seventh overall honor, tying Troy for the most all-time with Stanford.
Ishimatsu will join the rest of the USC diving contingent at the 2010 Zone E Championships, Thursday through Saturday (March 11-13), in Houston to qualify for the 2010 NCAA Championships.
