March 9, 2010
BERKELEY - Tickets for Cal's 2010 home track & field season at Edwards Stadium, which includes the Pac-10 championships in May plus three other meets this spring, are now on sale through the Cal Athletic Ticket Office.
The easiest way to order is through the tickets link at CalBears.com. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day of each meet at the ticket kiosk outside the southwest corner of Edwards Stadium (near the corner of Bancroft Way and Fulton Street).
The first event - the Cal Multis with competition in the decathlon and heptathlon - is March 24-25 and will be free to the public.
All tickets for the Big Meet vs. Stanford on Saturday, April 10 and the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, which runs on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24, are general admission and cost $8 for adults and $4 for seniors. There are no two-day passes to the Brutus Hamilton meet; fans must purchase a new ticket each day.
A special regular-season pass, good for admission to the Big Meet and both days of the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, can be purchased for $16 for adults and $8 for seniors.
Cal students with current ID and youth (high school or younger) receive free admission to the Big Meet and the Brutus Hamilton Invitational.
In May, Cal will host the Pac-10 championships on consecutive weekends, with the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon taking place May 8-9 and the bulk of the events occurring on May 15-16. While admission is free for May 8-9, all patrons must purchase a ticket for the second weekend of competition. On May 15-16, a limited number of reserved seats are available in Section K near the primary finish line, with general admission seating throughout the rest of the Edwards Stadium stands.
