Curry Leads Bruin Women At Cal State Northridge Invitational

Krishna Curry led a contingent of women's track and field athletes on Saturday at the Cal State Northridge Invitational as she won the 800m and helped the 4x400m relay to a second-place finish.

Curry won the 800m with a time of 2:12.78. She then ran the opening leg of the 4x400m relay that finished second overall with a time of 3:50.77.

The 4x100m relay team of Nijah Nelms, Ashlea McLaughlin, Yasmin Woodruff and RoNecia Nash also placed second, running 46.26.

Kelcie Wiemann ran a lifetime-best of 10:08.31 in the 3000m to finish third overall.

In field event action, Ashley Baucham won the B section of the high jump with a clearance of 5-3. Karlye Marhsall and Liz Goodrich each cleared 11-7.75 to finish second and third, respectively.
