LOS ANGELES - The No. 12 UCLA baseball team pounded out a season-high 23 hits in a 20-4 series-opening victory over Oral Roberts on Friday evening at Steele Field at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The Bruins (14-0) received two or more hits from seven players, as third baseman Dean Espy led the charge with a 4-for-4, four-RBI effort. [Read more]

Cal Baseball Wins, 11-9, at Cal Poly
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIF. - Powered by junior first baseman Mark Canha's eighth inning grand slam and the effective relief pitching sophomore right-hander Dixon Anderson, the Cal baseball team held on for an 11-9 win over Cal Poly Friday night at Baggett Stadium in San Luis Obispo. Canha's shot of the left field fence broke a 6-6 and then Anderson was able to get out of bases loaded jams in both the bottom of the eight and ninth innings to earn his first save of the year and help the Golden Bears improve to 10-6 on the year. TEMPE, Ariz. - Seth Blair threw seven strong innings while Kole Calhoun and Zack MacPhee provided the offense as the No. 1 Arizona State University baseball team defeated Houston 10-1 on Friday.
