Bruins Head to Texas for Betsy Rawls Invitational

The second-ranked UCLA women's golf team begins the Spring Quarter with a trip to Texas and an appearance in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, Mar. 26-28.

The 37th annual event will be played at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, TX. Teams will play 54 holes over 6,255 yards with a par of 72.

In 2007, UCLA won the NCAA Midwest Regional on the UT course, but the Bruins have never won the Betsy Rawls Invitational.

The 16-team field includes seven teams ranked in GolfWeek's latest Top 25, highlighted by the No.2 ranked Bruins. Eighth-ranked Arizona, 12th-ranked Stanford, No.20 Texas A&M, No.22 New Mexico, 23rd-ranked Vanderbilt and No.25 TCU are also contending. Other Pac-10 representatives include Washington (33rd) and Oregon (37th).

Competing for the Bruins are senior Sydnee Michaels, junior Glory Yang, sophomores Stephanie Kono and Brianna Do and freshman Tiffany Lua.
