TEMPE, ARIZ. -

The California baseball team got within 7-5 of No. 1 Arizona State with four runs in the sixth inning, but that was as close as the Golden Bears would get, falling 12-5 to the top-ranked Sun Devils Friday night (March 26) in Tempe. The Golden Bears, who got a two-run homer from freshman right fielder Jimmy Bosco, dropped to 12-8 overall in 0-1 in the Pac-10. ASU improved to 21-0 on the year and 1-0 in conference.
