Cal Edged, 3-2, at No. 1 Arizona State

TEMPE, ARIZ. -

No. 1-ranked Arizona State scored the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to upend California, 3-2, Sunday (March 28) in the final game of a three-game Pac-10 series at Packard Stadium in Tempe. The Golden Bears had battled the top-ranked Sun Devil tough the entire game with junior Mark Canha tying the game, 2-2, in the top of the ninth with an RBI double. Cal fell to 12-10 overall in 0-3 in the conference, while ASU improved to 23-0 on the year and 3-0 in league play.
