UW Softball: A Championship Journey

SEATTLE - The University of Washington's campus television station, UWTV, put together a special half-hour show about the 2009 softball team's national championship journey that will air several times leading up to the station's first live game broadcast this Friday at 6 p.m.
'Husky Softball: A Championship Journey' recounts the team's 2009 championship winning season, in addition to delving into what makes head coach Heather Tarr so successful. The piece also focuses on the 2010 freshman class and how the veterans are helping them learn the path to greatness.
The show features exclusive highlights, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage to give fans a glimpse into what makes the players and coaches of a national-championship winning team tick.
While the special is airing periodically this week on UWTV, fans can also watch online by going to www.uwtv.org/softball. You can you can also find information there on where to find UWTV in your area.
UWTV will broadcast eight Pac-10 games live this year, including the final two games of each series against UCLA, Arizona, Oregon State and Stanford. The first game will be this Friday, April 2 at 6 p.m. when the Huskies take on No. 5 UCLA.
