Can't Make It To The Game? Watch Live On UWTV
March 31, 2010
SEATTLE - Husky softball fans who can't make it to the ballpark this weekend - and Saturday's game is already sold out - don't fret as you will still be able to see the game live on UWTV, the campus' official television station.
UWTV is airing eight Pac-10 games live this season, including this Friday and Saturday's contests against No. 5 UCLA. Only general admission tickets remain for Friday's 6 p.m. game and only standing room is available for Saturday's Noon contest. Fans that were unable to purchase tickets will be able to watch from the comforts of their own home.
All games will feature play-by-play from former Husky All-American Angie Mentink, with color commentary from another UW All-American, Dena Tyson. The games will also air on a tape-delayed basis on both UWTV and Fox Sports Northwest, with dates for the latter to be announced at a later date.
Additionally, Friday and Saturday's games this weekend can be heard on AM radio with Mike Brown and John Cowley calling the action. Friday's game will air on KIXI 880 AM and Saturday's game will air on KKNW 1150 AM.
For Thursday's Pac-10 opener, which also includes a special ceremony commemorating the 2009 senior class and the team's national championship, only general admission outfield seating is available.
Looking ahead to next weekend's potential No. 1-vs.-No. 2 clash with current No. 2 Arizona, games on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11 are already sold out, with standing room only available. Both games will also air live on UWTV.
