Chambers, Minderler And Henderson Post Texas-Sized Hammer Marks

Hammer throwers Lauren Chambers, Marissa Minderler and Trey Henderson all posted strong marks and intermediate hurdlers Dalilah Muhammad and Reggie Wyatt advanced to event finals to highlight USC's action today (April 1) at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.
The freshman Chambers placed sixth in the women's hammer competition (fourth among collegians) with a throw of 191-10 (58.47m). Not far behind her with a PR of 188-10 (57.57m) was the redshirt sophomore Minderler. That mark moved Minderler into ninth place on USC's all-time hammer list. Last weekend, she posted the ninth-best USC women's women's shot put mark of 48-6.5 (14.80m). Redshirt sophomore Tamara Baumanm placed 13th in the hammer today with a throw of 174-9 (53.26m).
USC junior Henderson took fourth place in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 212-6 (64.77m).
Redshirt senior Derek Scott was the only Trojan to compete in the men's pole vault 'Section B' and he finished tied for sixth with a clearance of 16-5.25 (5.01m).
Also today, sophomore hurdler Muhammad advanced to the finals in the women's 400m IH by winning her heat with a time of 60.31, nearly two seconds ahead of her competition in the race.
The freshman Wyatt advanced to the finals in the men's 400m IH by placing second in his heat and overall with a time of 50.92, .07 seconds behind two-time defending NCAA hurdles champion Jeshua Anderson of Washington State.
