Oregon's Wong Named Pac-10 Men's Golfer of the Month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--Eugene Wong of Oregon has been named Pacific-10 Conference Golfer of the Month for March 2010.
Wong, a sophomore from North Vancouver, B.C., took medalist honors and led Oregon to the team title at the USC Invitational, shooting a tournament record 10-under par 203 to win the event. He followed that up with a third-place finish at the Fresno State Lexus Classic and a runnerup finish at the Oregon Duck Invitational. Wong was under par in eight of 12 rounds for the month and currently leads the nation in scoring average at 69.7.
Also nominated for player of the month honors were Jesper Kennegard of Arizona State, winner of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters, Tarquin MacManus of Arizona, winner of the Braveheart Classic, T.J. Vogel of USC, runnerup at both the USC Invitational and the Southern Highland Collegiate Masters, Chad Vivolo of California, Alex Shi Yup Kim of UCLA, Kevin Tucker of Washington State and Joseph Bramlett of Stanford.
