Women's Tennis Cancels UCLA Dual Due to Inclement Weather

April 4, 2010

BERKELEY - The 11th-ranked California women's tennis team (14-4, 2-1 Pac-10) has canceled its Pac-10 dual against No. 7 UCLA (16-3, 3-1) due to inclement weather conditions, head coach Amanda Augustus announced on Sunday (April 4). Because the match was a scheduled conference dual, the Golden Bears and the Bruins may still meet later in the year if the outcome determines or affects the crowning of the Pac-10 champion. That match would take place at the Ojai Valley Tennis Club in Ojai, Calif., immediately preceding the Pac-10 Championships.

Cal will embark on a three-match road trip next weekend as it visits the Pacific Northwest. The Bears will take on Oregon in Eugene, Ore., to kick off the trio of matches in a 1:30 p.m. PT meeting on Thursday, April 8. Please check CalBears.com for more information.
