TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State sophomore infielder/outfielder Drew Maggi has been named Pac-10 Player of the Week, the conference announced today. It is the first weekly honor of Maggi's career and 92nd all-time Player of the Week winner for Arizona State, the most in the Pac-10 Conference.

Maggi went 6-13 (.462), scored four runs and drove in three, including his first career home run on Thursday, a solo blast that accounted for all the scoring in a 1-0 ASU win. Maggi also drew two walks and stole two bases while playing flawless defense in both left and at shortstop.
The Sun Devil's lead-off hitter is batting .396 on the season with 25 runs scored and 20 driven in. He has stolen a team-leading 15 bases and drawn 19 walks, second most on the club.
