Marshall, McLaughlin & Rowe Lead Bruin Women At RJ/JJK Invitational

Karlye Marshall, Ashlea McLaughlin and Lindsay Rowe highlighted the women's track and field team on Friday at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner Kersee Invitational as Rowe and McLaughlin posted event wins and Marshall finished second in the vault.
Rowe won the 100m hurdles with a season-best time of 13.53, while McLaughlin ran a lifetime-best 24.54 in the 200m to win.
Marshall cleared a season-best 12-4 in the pole vault to place second overall. She came into the meet with a top mark of 11-11.75.
In the 200m, Nijah Nelms finsihed third with a time of 24.79. Nelms was also third in the 100m (12.12).
Joy Eaton ran a season-best 2:17.49 in the 800m to finish ninth overall. In the 1500m, Shannon Murakami finished second with a time of 4:31.53 and Kelcie Wiemann placed eighth with a lifetime-best run of 4:40.82.
Ryann Krais was in first-place after day one of the heptathlon, but was pulled out of the competition prior to the start of today's events. She did compete in the javelin and posted a lifetime-best mark of 127-6 to finish seventh overall.
Competition continues on Saturday with the invitational portion of the meet.
