Brutus Hamilton Invitational to Feature Fastest Kid in Bay Area Contest

BERKELEY - In addition to all the track & field participants who will be competing at annual Brutus Hamilton Invitational at Edwards Stadium April 23-24, there will be a special contest to help determine the Bay Area's Fastest Kid with through a series of 50-meter races.
Participation is free, and admission is free for each child and legal guardian. The event will take place Saturday, April 24. Registration is limited to the first 100 kids and will start at 1 p.m., and racing on the Edwards Stadium track will begin at 2:10.
Winners will be determined in each age division (5 and under, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11), and the overall winner will be named the 'Bay Area's Fastest Kid.' Prizes will be provided to each participant.

The Brutus Hamilton Invitational, one of the premier track & field events on the West Coast, will feature a distance carnival Friday night, April 23, then a full array of events on Saturday, April 24. Several Olympians are expected to compete, and a full list of entries with be announces in the days just prior to the event.
