Athletic Teams to Honor Al Reser
April 16, 2010
Corvallis, Ore. -
In honor of the late Al Reser, Oregon State’s intercollegiate athletic teams will wear a patch with the years of his life (1935-2010) and his name starting this weekend with the Beavers’ baseball and softball teams. Mr. Reser passed away during the evening of April 12.
Reser will long be remembered as one of the most generous alumni and longstanding supporters in the history of Oregon State University. Along with his wife, Pat, Mr. Reser served in numerous volunteer leadership capacities for OSU over the past 40-plus years and supported a long list of major university projects, including Reser Stadium and the $62.5-million Linus Pauling Science Center, which is under construction with completion projected for early 2011.
