No. 19 Cal Baseball Loses 7-3 to Washington

BERKELEY -

Despite an impressive game from sophomore catcher Chadd Krist, the California baseball team (20-11, 6-4) saw its eight-game winning streak come to an end, dropping a 7-3 decision to Washington (19-13, 4-3), Friday, April 16 at Evans Diamond. The Golden Bears had swept their past two conference series versus Arizona and USC, but after getting within, 2-1, on Krist's home run in the fifth inning, gave up three runs in the top of the sixth inning and single runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Krist ended up having an RBI single in the seventh inning and a triple in the ninth inning to finish the day 4-for-5 with a triple, home run and two RBI.
